- A multi domain approach to the determination of asteroid families
- Abstract
- Previous works have identified families halos by an analysis in proper elements domains, or by using Sloan Digital Sky Survey-Moving Object Catalog data, fourth release (SDSS-MOC4) multi-band photometry to infer the asteroid taxonomy, or by a combination of the two methods.
The limited number of asteroids for which geometric albedo was known until recently discouraged in the past the extensive use of this additional parameter, which is however of great importance in identifying an asteroid taxonomy. The new availability of geometric albedo data from the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission for about 100,000 asteroids significantly increased the sample of objects for which such information, with some errors, is now known.
In this work we proposed a new method to identify families halos in a multi-domain space composed by proper elements, SDSS-MOC4 (a*,i-z) colors, and WISE geometric albedo for the whole main belt (and the Hungaria and Cybele orbital regions). Assuming that most families were created by the breakup of an undifferentiated parent body, they are expected to be homogeneous in colors and albedo. The new method is quite effective in determining objects belonging to a family halo, with low percentages of likely interlopers, and results that are quite consistent in term of taxonomy and geometric albedo of the halo members. - 連絡先

- Physical Structure of Planet-Forming Disk Probed by mm/submm and Infrared Observations and Modeling
- Abstract
- Protoplanetary disks composed of dust and gas are ubiquitous around young stars. Their lifetime, appearance, and structure are determined by an interplay between stellar radiation, gravity, thermal pressure, magnetic field, gas viscosity, turbulence, and rotation, and therefore they are key elements that regulate the mechanism, efficiency, and timescale of planet formation. With the recent advent of improved observational equipment and facilities, the observation of diffused gas near outer edge of the disk that used to be very difficult to observe has recently become possible. We made multi-CO line observations toward a well-known object, MWC 480 and HD163296, in millimeter and sub-millimeter wavelengths by NRO 45 m and ASTE 10 m telescopes, and investigate the two dimensional thermal structure by analyzing the disk emission with different optical depth and the radial density structure near outer edge of the disk by comparing two disk models: the power-law disk model with truncation in the radial surface density distribution at a particular outer radius and the similarity solution disk model with a tapered outer edge. As a result of comparison between both disk models, the observed profiles show a good agreement with the ones derived by the similarity solution disk model. It indicates that the disk gas extends and gradually tapers off. It is consistent with the other model fitting results improved by the similarity solution disk model toward other star+disk systems, such as TW Hya and GM Aurigae in the continuum and molecular gas observations. Although it requires further validation, it seems that the tapered outer edge structure is ubiquitous in protoplanetary disks.

はやぶさは2003年に打ち上げられ、S型小惑星の近傍観測とサンプル採取を行
い、2010年に地球に帰還した。現在回収されたサンプルの分 析研究が進められ
ている。はやぶさでは、S型小惑星と隕石との関係をリモセン観測およびサンプ
ル分析研究を通して明らかにしただけでなく、小 惑星が一度ばらばらになって
再集積して形成された天体であること、形成後の小惑星表層の進化はこれまで考
えられていたより激しいことなど、小 惑星の形成と進化について新しいシナリ
オを提示した。はやぶさ2ではC型小惑星を探査し、はやぶさでは解明できな
かった有機物や水の起源や進 化に迫り、地球を含めた太陽系天体の形成と進化
について、より広範囲の歴史を解明する手がかりを得ることを目指している。本
講演では、はやぶ さとはやぶさ2を比較しながら、飛翔体を用いた小天体研究
