Title：4 year status of research conducted via the M2O
Abstract：The maser monitoring organisation, commonly called the‘M2O’has been responding to maser flares since September 2017. In this colloquium a summary of the research conducted in this time, including published results, multi-wavelength and cross-facility collaboration, in addition to work done developing and supporting new and longstanding observational facilities will be presented. Based on past and present activities the future direction of the M2O will be considered in the context of upcoming missions and likely funding scenarios that observatories may encounter.
