- Evolutionary Sequence of Massive Stars As Seen Through the Interferometric Spectacle
- Abstract
- The phenomenon of massive star formation unlike its low-mass counterpart remains an unsolved puzzle. High angular resolution interferometric (especially VLBI) observational studies of several massive star forming regions provide insight into some ‘pieces’ of the yet mysterious puzzle. The ‘pieces’ of the puzzle are by no means complete yet, but using the available results and some of the ‘pieces’ produced in the course of my research on massive star formation, I have attempted to trace the possible evolutionary sequence of massive star formation. JVN (especially VERA), VLA, VLBA, SMA have all played some key roles so far, but ALMA will be useful in complementing the exist results.
