Assistant professor MORITANI, Yuki
Research Field
-
Optical-near-infrared instrumentation, observational research of binaries
Degree
-
Ph. D (Science)
Summary of Research
-
My research interests are instrumentation and binary interaction. Recently I’m working on PFS (Prime Focus Spectrograph) project, which is next-generation instrument for Subaru Telescope. I’m in charge of commissioning of PFS. I also have been observing massive stars in binary system (and candidates) to study the effect of binary interaction such as mass transfer, wind collision on the stars.
