Summary of Research
My research aims to understand how stars and planetary systems form and evolve under diverse environmental conditions. In particular, I focus on low metallicity environments such as the outer regions of the Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds, and conduct comparative studies of star forming regions and protoplanetary disks with those in the solar neighborhood to identify the key processes governing star and planet formation. Observationally, I use multi wavelength data spanning from optical to infrared and radio wavelengths, primarily based on observations with the Subaru Telescope and, more recently, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). I am also involved in the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) project, pursuing studies that anticipate the scientific opportunities enabled by future large ground based telescopes.
