- Coevolution of galaxies and black holes in massive environments
- Abstract
- I will review the results on AGN clustering and star-formation activity in galaxies at z<3, detailing the role of groups and clusters of galaxies. I will discuss the connection between the observed trends and morphological transformation of galaxies, concluding that low luminosity AGNs are perfect tracers of this transformation. I will present the evidence for an increased contribution of star-forming galaxies located in galaxy groups to the global star-formation and present the details of the observations of the most distant X-ray galaxy cluster at z=2.501. The amount of star-formation shall lead to a fast depletion of the gaseous content of the host galaxies, suggesting that over-consumption to be an important aspect in formation of cluster early times at high redshifts.
