Assistant Professor   Maehara, Hiroyuki

Research Field

  • Stellar flares, starspots, stellar CMEs

Degree

  • Ph.D. (2007, University of Tokyo)

Summary of Research

  • My primary research interest is stellar magnetic activity (e.g., flares). I work on observational studies of stellar superflares and CMEs using Kepler, TESS, and ground-based optical telescopes (e.g., the 3.8-m Seimei telescope at Okayama). In addition, I am interested in developing automated observing systems for optical/NIR telescopes. I am currently developing the queue-mode observing system for the 3.8-m Seimei telescope at Okayama Observatory.
